Frogs and Turtles
The frogs shown here were photographed in the marsh areas of parks near our former home in northeast Ohio. We aren't experts in frog identification, but we've done our best to name them. Those interested in such things will find more information about frogs and toads and their identification at the USGS Checklist of Amphibian Species and identification Guide. For local identification, try the Natural History of the Frogs and Toads of Ohio site.
This gallery also includes a photo of painted turtles in Montana's National Bison Range. We'll add additional reptiles as photo opportunities present themselves.
